Description

Droncit Spot-on is used for the treatment of tapeworms in cats.

It is effective against adult and immature forms of the tapeworms known as Dipylidium caninum and tapeworms of the Taenia species.
This AVM-GSL veterinary medicine has been specifically designed for administration to cats and can only be used on cats weighing more than 1Kg in body weight.

Active Ingredients

Each tube contains 20mg praziquantel which kills the tapeworms.

The solution also contains inactive ingredients which are needed to allow the drug to be absorbed across the skin and into the cats body where it can be effective.

Instructions

For cats weighing from 1 to 2.5kg use one tube of Droncit Spot-on.
For cats weighing 2.5kg to 5kg use two tubes of Droncit Spot-on.
For cats weighing more than 5kg use three tubes of Droncit Spot-on.

Droncit Spot-on should be administered at monthly intervals or when signs of tapeworm infestation occur.

Further Information

Tapeworm infestation is certain to re-occur unless control of intermediate hosts such as fleas is undertaken.
